President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met for talks overshadowed by unusually blunt United States criticism of the Jewish state’s latest settlement plans.

The proposed construction of 2610 homes in the Givat Hamatos area was disclosed by activist group Peace Now.
