Watchman News Former special agent named interim Secret Service chief

With the Secret Service reeling in controversy for the second time in two years, the Obama administration Wednesday reached into the service’s retirement ranks for an interim director in an attempt to restore stability to the beleaguered agency.


Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Joseph Clancy, a former special agent in charge of the Secret Service’s Presidential Protective Division, will take command of the agency until a permanent director is found.
