Ferguson Gears Up for Grand Jury Decision, More Protests

There was a fourth straight night of protests in Ferguson, Missouri as the St. Louis suburb awaits the grand jury decision in the Michael Brown case. The unarmed black teen was shot dead by police officer Darren Wilson in August, sparking weeks of unrest and a nationwide discussion about racial profile and police use of force. Mary MacCarthy is in Ferguson:

Police kill 12-year-old with fake gun in US playground

Investigations have begun after Cleveland police shot dead a 12-year-old boy who had a replica gun in a playground.  Tamir Rice was holding an airsoft or BB-gun that looked like a semi-automatic weapon.  Nick Harper reports.

Russia losing up to $100 billion from falling oil prices

Russia is losing up to 100 billion dollars a year from falling oil prices, and a further 40 billion dollars from Western sanctions, according to Russia's finance minister. Russia may start cutting its oil production by around 300,000 barrels a day to support world oil prices. Jake Rashbass reports.

HAGEL RESIGNING AS DEFENSE SECRETARY

AP sources say, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is stepping down from President Barack Obama's Cabinet, following a tenure in which he has struggled to break through the White House's insular foreign policy team.  Hagel is the first senior Obama adviser to leave the administration following the sweeping losses for Obama's party in the midterm elections. It also comes as the president's national security team has been battered by multiple foreign policy crises, include the rise of the Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria.

BUFFALO RESIDENTS READY FOR POSSIBLE EVACUATIONS

Families rushed to pack up their valuables and schools closed in advance - not of snow but possible flooding. Temperatures were expected to hit nearly 60 degrees on today, causing Buffalo area residents to prepare for evacuations caused by runoff from melting snow, and overflowing creeks.  Michelle Pikula, whose house is along the Buffalo Creek said "Hopefully the rain won't be here until later and this will be a slow thaw, but flooding is our major, major concern here."

Like David vs. Goliath, Rick Wiles is a citizen reporter who decided to take on the Big News Media. Starting with a $7,500 donation in May 1999 to launch the first radio program, Rick’s faith in God and steadfast determination has overseen the growth and development of TRUNEWS into an internationally recognized source of credible news and information in a world where nothing seems to make sense anymore. Rick’s professional career was in media marketing and advertising sales. Throughout his early years, God’s hand silently guided him to be in employed in the latest new media. While in his early 20’s, Rick’s first media job was with a new FM radio station in the days when AM was still king.

In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV.  As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation.  He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel.  In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems.  Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
