Sierra Leone says
another doctor dies of Ebola
 A doctor in
Sierra Leone has died of Ebola — the fifth local doctor in the West African
nation to die of the disease.
The death of Dr. Godfrey George,
medical superintendent of Kambia Government Hospital in northern Sierra Leone,
was a blow to efforts to keep desperately needed health care workers safe in a
country ravaged by the deadly virus.

VIRGIN
GALACTIC SAFETY DEVICE 'DEPLOYED EARLY'
It seems that Virgin Galactic spacecraft that crashed on Friday
deployed a safety device too early.

A 'feathering' device, supposed to slow the craft on re-entry,
was enabled by a pilot, but activated too soon. One of the two pilots died in
Friday's crash.

The company aimed to send the first tourists into space in 2015,
but this had already been delayed before the accident.

Space scientist Dr David Whitehouse says the feathering device
is now the center of attention.... (cut)


Boko Haram
suspected after suicide blast, prison break in Nigeria
A suicide bombing at a Shiite ceremony killed at least 15 people
in northeastern Nigeria while armed gunmen use dynamite to blast open a
detention center releasing132 inmates – the same one Boko Haram hit 2 years
ago.
The attack in
Potiskum, the commercial capital of Yobe state, came as Muslims marked the
anniversary of the death the Prophet Mohammed's grandson.

Boko Haram dismiss
release of abducted girls
International human rights groups have slammed a statement by
the leader of Boko Haram, that the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted in
Northern Nigeria have been converted to Islam and married off. 
Abubakar Shekau also claimed there have been no talks with the
Nigerian government over a ceasefire or the release of the girls. Dozens of
people have been killed in new attacks on Nogerian towns and villages over the
past three days. Gary Alfonso reports ... 



Pentagon urges
ex-Seal to not participate in Fox documentary


A former U.S. Navy Seal is promising to reveal that he is the
individual who shot and killed Osama bin Laden on May 1, 2011.



The Pentagon is urging the man to withdraw his cooperation from the film,
saying he is still bound by his non-disclosure agreements.



The documentary is set to air November 11 and 12 in the United States on on the
Fox News Channel.
