TALIBAN STORM PAKISTANI SCHOOL, KILLING 126

Taliban gunmen stormed a military-run school in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday, killing 126 people, in the worst attack to hit the country in years. Most of the victims were children. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the assault and rushed to Peshawar to show his support for the victims. Pennsylvania manhunt continues

A former US marine suspected of killing six people in towns near Philadelphia is still on the run this morning. As a precaution residents in the area are being told to stay inside and local schools have been closed. 35 year old Bradley William Stone is thought to have murdered his ex-wife and five members of her family. Russia raises interest rate to 17 percent - Ruble world's worst-performing currency

U.S. stocks are opening moderately lower as the price of oil continues to drop. Russia's central bank has raised its key interest rate up to 17 percent from 10.5 percent as the ruble fell to record lows. Monday saw the largest one-day fall for the currency since 1998. That makes the ruble the world's worst-performing currency this year, having fallen over 49 percent against the US dollar.  Jake Rashbass reports.

Vatican offers olive branch to US nuns

A sweeping Vatican investigation of Roman Catholic sisters in the United States that began five years ago amid criticism they had become secular and overly feminist ended up mostly praising nuns for their contributions to the church, a sign of the shift in tone under Pope Francis.  The report released Tuesday praised the sisters, thanked them for their selfless work caring for the poor and promised to value their "feminine genius" more, while gently suggesting ways to survive amid a steep drop in their numbers.

Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems.  Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
