Homeland chief faces GOP critics on immigration

Draft legislation was circulated Monday, aimed at blocking Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration from taking effect, as Homeland Security Secretary Jeh (Jay) Johnson prepared to offer GOP critics a full-throated defense of the new policies.  Obama's move to shield some 4 million immigrants here illegally from deportation amounts to "simple common sense," Johnson told the Republican-led House Homeland Security Committee Tuesday in the administration's first testimony on the issue since Obama announced the changes two weeks ago.

Obama proposes changes to policing in wake of Ferguson

President Obama has proposed 75 million dollars to fund up to 50,000 body cameras for local police officers. It's part of a $263 million, three-year initiative that will also provide more local police training. It comes after a day of meetings to discuss the issues raised by the police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri. Kate Fisher reports from Washington.....

Jets carry out air strikes west of Libyan capital

At least three people were killed in air strikes on a town west of Tripoli carried out by forces loyal to Libya's internationally recognized government, which is in conflict with a rival force controlling the capital.

The strikes targeted three locations in the Zawura city, included a food supply storage area, a fishing port and an unspecified target outside of the city.

Russia warns of recession next year

The Russian government has for the first time acknowledged that the country will fall into recession next year, battered by the combination of Western sanctions and a plunge in the price of its oil exports.  The news caused markets to drop, with the ruble sliding back toward a record low against the dollar.

Cyber Espionage Ring Works to Game the Stock Market

The FBI has warned that cyber-hackers have used malicious software to launch destructive attacks in the US. The hack to Sony pictures made headlines. Now, security researchers say they have uncovered a cyber-espionage ring focused on stealing corporate secrets to game the stock market. They say the operation has compromised sensitive data about dozens of publicly held companies.  Silicon Valley reporter Rachel Silverman has the story.

Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems.  Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
