Putin tells Ukraine to surrender
Russian president Vladimir Putin has called for Kiev to let its soldiers surrender to pro-Russian rebels who encircled thousands of government troops near the town of Debalteseve in eastern Ukraine. Fighting near the town continued despite a ceasefire, which came into force on Sunday. Anya Ardayeva reports from Moscow....
300 Boko Haram militants killed and towns recaptured
Nigerian armed forces say they have killed more than 300 Boko Haram fighters and recaptured 11 towns from the terrorists. The operation lasted for 3 days and included air strikes in the north east of the country. 10 Nigerian soldiers were killed in the operation. The Nigerian strikes against Boko Haram follow similar successes by the armies of Chad and Cameroon in the past two weeks. Gary Alfonso reports ...
STATES' LAWSUIT STOPS OBAMA'S IMMIGRATION
Barack H. Obama's plan to shield more than 4 million immigrants living in the country illegally from deportation is on hold after a judge blocked the effort.
One program to help immigrants brought to the country as children was scheduled to kick in Wednesday, but instead Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services wouldn't accept applications. And preparations for a second program aimed at protecting millions of parents of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents have been idled until further notice. 26 states filed the suit.
White House hosts summit on countering violent extremism
Foreign and interior ministers from 60 countries are meeting in Washington for a summit on countering violent extremism. (How about start by call “violent extremism” “Muslim terrorists”)
The three-day conference will highlight efforts to prevent terrorists from radicalizing and recruiting others, particularly disaffected young people.

Labor Dispute Cripples Shipments to and from West Coast Ports
A crippling labor dispute on the west coast is messing with billions of dollars in international trade.
The Labor Secretary is meeting with unionized dock workers and their employers, in an attempt to jump-start stalled contract talks.

ECB meets to discuss Greek bank funding.
The European Central Bank's governing council is meeting to discuss the instability in Greece amid speculation it may decide to pull emergency funding of Greek banks in the absence of a financial rescue.
But it's expected Greece's government may ask for a formal extension of its bailout with Eurozone creditors which runs out in March, following days of failed meetings with the Greek government who've refused more spending reforms.

In 1980, he blazed a path as a pioneer in local cable television advertising when CNN and ESPN were new start-up channels on cable TV. As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
