Funerals held for victims of Paris attacks
Simultaneous funerals are being held in Jerusalem and Paris to pay tribute to the victims of the deadly attacks in France last week by armed jihadists. A funeral in Jerusalem is taking place for the four Jewish people killed at a kosher supermarket in Paris. Meanwhile in Paris a solemn ceremony attended by French President Francois Hollande is remembering the 3 officers murdered by the gunmen in two separate attacks. The three were awarded special honors. Our correspondent Sandra Gathmann says French President Hollande gave an emotional speech....
Libyan ISIS in Lybia kidnaps 21 Christians
A Libyan affiliate of ISIS has claimed it's abducted of 21 Coptic Christians and released pictures of the captives - posted Monday on jihadi forums used by ISIS supporters.
South Sudan's factions pledge accelerated peace process
South Sudan's warring factions have pledged to accelerate the country's peace process after talks in Khartoum that were mediated by China.
The two sides have agreed to hasten attempts to form a transitional government in South Sudan, after a year of fighting that has killed tens of thousands of people.
Retired US diplomat Marc Wall says China's decision to broker the talks are a further demonstration of Beijing's influence in the region....
US Central Command Social Media accounts hacked
The U.S. military's Central Command twitter account has been hacked- seemingly by Islamic State militant supporters.
Threatening messages appeared on both Centcom's Twitter and Youtube account at about midday on Monday in Washington. Nina-Maria Potts reports:
UK inflation falls to 12-year low
UK inflation fell to just 0.5% in December - the lowest reading since 2002. The falling oil price feeding through to cheaper petrol and cheaper energy is being blamed.

Interpol places Ukraine's former President on wanted list
Interpol has placed former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich on its wanted list, almost a year after he fled power and went to Russia. Ukrainian officials accuse him of stealing millions of dollars of public funds. Tom Barton reports.

As a sales manager, he launched one of the first cable advertising interconnects in the nation. He was hired in 1984 by the Christian Broadcasting Network as the first National Cable Marketing Manager for the new CBN Cable Network which later became the Family Channel. In 1995, Paul F. Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
