US EAST COAST SHUTDOWN DESPITE LESS SNOW THAN FEARED
New York city was creeping back to life this morning, despite less snowfall than expected.
Driving was banned in New York for non-emergency vehicles and many businesses closed in anticipation due to the storm.
The north east is looking for 2 feet of snow up the US east coast - affecting tens of millions of residents.
A state of emergency's was declared in New York state, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

5 FOREIGNERS, 3 GUARDS KILLED IN LIBYAN HOTEL ATTACK
Gunmen stormed a luxury hotel in Libya's capital Tuesday, killing at least five foreigners and three guards, authorities said.
The attack, which included a car bombing, struck the Corinthia Hotel, which sits along the Mediterranean Sea.
US announces charges against Russian spy ring in New York
The Feds have charged three Russian nationals for spying on the US and trying to recruit New York City residents as intelligence assets.
The case was announced Monday by the US Attorney General and FBI officials, following the arrest of one of the defendants in New York.

U.N. secures pledge to free 3,000 South Sudan child soldiers
The United Nations has secured a pledge for the release of about 3,000 child soldiers in South Sudan, in what it called "one of the largest ever demobilisations of children".
The children, aged between 11 and 17, were recruited by the South Sudan Democratic Army - Cobra Faction, led by David Yau Yau, and some had been fighting for almost four years.
Russia's credit rating cut to junk
The ratings agency Standard and Poors has cut Russia's credit rating to junk, or below investment grade. This makes it harder for Russia to borrow money from investors.

Auschwitz Nazi death camp survivors gather for 70th anniversary of its liberation
Survivors of the Auschwitz Nazi death camp are commemorating the 70th anniversary of its liberation by visiting the site in Poland.
Around 1.1 million people, were killed at the camp between 1940 and 1945.

Crouch hired Rick as the Marketing Director for Trinity Broadcasting Network where Rick repositioned the TBN brand inside the cable industry – and played an important role in negotiating the early contracts to launch TBN on DirecTV, DISH, and the former PrimeStar DBS systems. Rick resigned from TBN in September 1998 after receiving a dramatic call from God to fulltime ministry.
